Email Newsletter Design Popular Casting Call Newsletter Debuts ... Adds Sponsors To satisfy part of ActorsUpdate's mission--put industry information in the hands of performers for free--I devised this email delivery format for casting call information. Since these alerts would be more frequent and more sporadic in nature than a weekly newsletter, I designed the newsletter to give as much information about its content--number of calls, type of calls, company issuing call and location--upfront. Subscribers would still have to open the email, which was important because we sold advertising against that fact, but they would also be able to scan the document quickly, which was important because in some weeks they would receive up to a dozen alerts.
